Learn traditional basket making techniques and make your own beautiful willow basket.

Your expert teacher Pippa Scott will guide you through traditional techniques to make your very own beautiful rustic frame basket, based on the Welsh Cyntell and Irish Sciathog.

The course is for anyone with an interest in basket making and traditional crafts and skills, no previous experience necessary.

Pippa also teaches a follow on course in November called Flat-bottomed Willow Basket Making.

Meet your tutor

Pippa is a member of the Basketmakers Association, and began willow basket-making in 1987 – gradually moving on to sculptures, and larger structures for gardens.

She also grows and harvests her own willow.

Pippa’s endless enthusiasm for the subject is highly infectious, making her classes enjoyable for people of all ages and experience.
